Crops in Žito group are cultivated for the production of animal feed, flour, oil and sugar where familiar origin is the basis of quality assurance in finished products. Žito group cultivates crops on 22.000 hectares of owned farmland, while crops are bought from additional 60.000 hectares owned by Žito subcontractors. The entire production is based on the principles of integrated production, i.e., implies balanced application of agricultural measures with minimal use of agrochemicals and use of manure from farms and digestate from biogas plants, thereby reducing the use of mineral fertilizers and emission of greenhouse gases. We use new-aged machinery that in addition to efficiency is more environmentally friendly.
