In recent weeks, there has been an increased demand for Žito Groups products - TENA flour, semolina and sunflower oil, Žito fresh eggs and DOBRO meat products, but thanks to the selfless work of our employees, we are ready to respond to customer demands without serious delays. In addition, preparations for the continuation of the farming season are in progress, and the farms are regularly supplied by our fodder factory Vitalka, which works in three shifts.
As one of the largest producers of food products for industrial production, but also brands that are in every household and for which there is increased demand due to the new situation, Žito Group is currently unable to stop the work of factories and farms. Therefore, preventive measures have been introduced in the Group with the aim of protecting the health of our employees from the COVID-19 virus and ensuring continuous operation. Measures include, among other things, working in multiple shifts to avoid unnecessary physical contact, wearing protective masks and gloves, and frequent disinfection of the work area. The Group is currently focused on distribution of the products on the Croatian market to ensure sufficient quantities for our fellow citizens, and since we in Žito achieve complete traceability in the production of our products, by establishing a complete production cycle, we do not depend as much on raw material imports as others, which ensures continuous production and controlled quality.
We are grateful to our employees who strive every day to supply Croatian citizens with the necessary food products and enable the operation of Žito farms, and our goal is to provide them with a safe working environment. Thanks to their inexhaustible effort and work, Žito is able to donate three respirators/monitors of vital functions to KBC Osijek in order to make the current fight at least a little bit easier for doctors and patients.
